Terms of service
Last updated: 21 August 2026
1. Scope
These terms govern the use of MCJobs, an offering by Scrayos UG (haftungsbeschränkt), by server teams, studios and talent — whether acting as consumers or as businesses. Registering means you accept them.
2. Formation of contract
The contract over the free use of the platform is formed when you submit the registration form and we create the account; until you submit, you can review and correct your entries in the form. The contract over a membership or a boost is formed when you complete the paid checkout at Stripe; there, too, everything is shown for review and can be corrected before you buy. The contract languages are German and English. We do not store the contract text beyond that: these terms are available at this address at any time, and the details of a purchase are in the confirmation email and in Stripe's customer portal.
3. Registration and account
Using MCJobs requires being at least 16 years old. Accounts require truthful information. Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account except where a third party misused it through no fault of yours.
4. Service description
MCJobs connects Minecraft server teams with talent. We are not an employment agency in the legal sense and guarantee neither a successful match nor that any two users are suited to each other. We keep developing the platform; we may change or discontinue features of the free offering where that is reasonable for you. Short interruptions — for maintenance, or for technical reasons — can occur.
5. Server team obligations
Listings must be truthful and must not misrepresent compensation, requirements, or the server itself. The first listing of a not-yet-verified server goes through a moderation review before it is published. A recorded collaboration may only be confirmed if it actually took place.
6. Talent obligations
Profiles and applications must contain truthful information. Attachments must not infringe third-party rights or contain harmful content. The same rule applies here: a recorded collaboration may only be confirmed if it actually took place.
7. Content and usage rights
For the content you upload or enter — text, logos, images, videos — you grant us the simple, non-exclusive right to store it, make it publicly accessible and process it technically for operating the platform (scaling it, converting it into other formats, or building preview images and embeds from it). The right ends when you delete the content; the record-keeping retention described in the privacy policy stays unaffected. You warrant that you hold the rights this requires.
8. Memberships, boosts and payment
Memberships renew automatically for the booked period until cancelled. Boosts are one-off purchases with no renewal. Paid purchases require that you have full legal capacity or act with the consent of your legal guardians; you confirm this at checkout. Current prices are on the pricing page; all prices include statutory VAT. Payment processing is handled on our behalf by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland. The purchase runs through Stripe's checkout; payment methods, invoices and cancelling a membership are managed in Stripe's customer portal, reachable from your organization's membership page. Which payment methods are offered is decided by Stripe. The contract for the membership or the boost is with us, not with Stripe; Stripe's own terms apply to the payment itself. Invoices are issued by Stripe on our behalf. What a membership or a boost provides begins immediately after the purchase. If you are a consumer, the statutory right of withdrawal under section 9 applies to you.
9. Right of withdrawal for consumers
Consumers have the statutory right of withdrawal for memberships and boosts: you can withdraw from the contract within fourteen days of its conclusion without giving reasons. The full withdrawal notice, including the model withdrawal form, is at mc-jobs.net/legal/withdrawal and is part of the confirmation email for every purchase. If you expressly request at purchase that performance begins immediately, you owe compensation for the part already provided if you then withdraw; the right of withdrawal expires once we have performed in full.
10. Moderation and suspension
We may reject, remove or suspend listings, profiles or accounts that violate these terms or applicable law. Every such decision is made by a person — content is never removed automatically; the one automated element is that the first listing of a not-yet-verified server is placed into the moderation review before publication. Where legally possible, we explain the reason for a measure — and you can ask us to look at the decision again: from the page the measure applies to, or, if your account is blocked, through the link in the email about it. That review is again decided by a person. If your organization is suspended, its paid membership is not billed for the duration of the suspension, running boosts are extended by the length of the suspension, and new ones can only be started once it has ended. Anyone can report content to us, with or without an account, at mc-jobs.net/report.
11. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, in case of fraudulent concealment of a defect, under any guarantee we have given, and under the German Product Liability Act. For ordinary negligence we are liable only for the breach of material contractual obligations — obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely — limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Beyond that, our liability is excluded.
12. Term and termination
You can delete your account at any time, without notice and without giving reasons. A membership can be cancelled at any time effective at the end of the current billing period — in Stripe's customer portal or on the cancellation page at mc-jobs.net/legal/cancel; periods already paid run to their end, and your statutory right of withdrawal stays unaffected. If you dissolve your organization, or if it is dissolved under section 10, its membership ends immediately; we automatically refund the unused time of the period already paid. We may terminate the contract over the free use with two weeks' notice in text form, and a paid membership ordinarily only effective at the end of the paid period. Both sides keep the right to terminate for cause — on our side in particular for serious or repeated violations of these terms; the measures under section 10 apply alongside.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when there is a valid reason to — a change in law or case law, a regulatory requirement, new or changed features of the platform, or the closing of security or abuse gaps. We announce changes in text form at least six weeks before they take effect. If you do not object by then, the changed terms apply from the announced date — the announcement points this effect out explicitly. If you object, either side may end the relationship ordinarily. Changes that would shift the balance of service and payment to your disadvantage, or that concern a main obligation, are only made with your express consent.
14. Final provisions
German law applies; towards consumers, this choice of law only applies insofar as it does not deprive them of the protection of mandatory provisions of the state of their habitual residence. If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is the competent court in Bonn. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. If a provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
