# Game Developer

JustChunks is looking for a Game Developer to create gameplay features, systems and custom content for our Minecraft network.

## About JustChunks

JustChunks is a Minecraft network focused on creating unique gameplay experiences rather than simply recreating existing server modes. We are looking for a **Game Developer** who wants to help us build the systems and features that make those experiences possible.

## What you'll do

As a Game Developer, you'll work on a variety of technical and gameplay-related tasks, including:

* Developing **Minecraft plugins and gameplay systems**
* Designing and implementing new **gameplay mechanics and features**
* Building custom systems for players, games, progression and other network components
* Improving and maintaining existing code
* Prototyping and experimenting with new ideas
* Finding and fixing bugs and performance issues
* Working with other developers and team members to turn concepts into working features

Your exact responsibilities are not set in stone. We want you to work on things that match your interests and strengths while also giving you opportunities to learn new areas.

## What we're looking for

You don't need to meet a long list of formal requirements. We're primarily looking for someone who:

* Has experience with **software development**, preferably in Java/Kotlin or a similar language
* Is interested in **Minecraft server development**
* Enjoys solving technical problems and building systems
* Can work independently while communicating well with the team
* Is willing to learn and improve
* Takes ownership of their work and cares about code quality

**Previous Minecraft development experience is helpful, but not required.** If you're a developer who wants to get into Minecraft development, we'd still like to hear from you.
